Come explore nature and the nearby communities.
Some of our favourites are…
WINTER ACTIVITIES
CROSS-COUNTRY SKIING
The TMPP staff do a great job of grooming the trails at Adam Lake. These are done is classic and skate lanes. The trails are multi-use so there can be foot traffic, you are rewarded the further out you venture, especially near James Lake and John Lake.
FAT BIKING
The trails around Adam have seen an increase in fat biking in the last few years. When the ice is thick enough some lake trips are great as well! The Moose Tower, Fitness Trail and Shoofly trail (south side) are some of our favourites.
BACK-COUNTRY SKIN SKIING
Skishoes, skihocs, backcountry skin skis… all names for this fun winter activity. These wide & short skin skis are a mix between a snowshoe and xc ski. They allow you to travel almost anywhere, but are most fun off-trail. The adjustable binding works for any boot size.
SNOW SHOEING
There is some great snowshoeing to be had in the Park. There are a variety of trails (smaller the better for snowshoeing in our opinion). The Moose Tower, Fitness Trail and Bower Trail (leaving from the North trailhead) are some of our favourites.
SKATING POND
The winter recreation area at Adam Lake has an amazing skating pond. It has a cozy warm-up shelter and outdoor firepit too. It’s lit at night for hours of fun!
ICE FISHING
The numerous lakes in TMPP have a variety of fish for those looking to catch their dinner! Adam, Bower, William and Max are the large lakes. Fish species vary from lake to lake but include walleye, northern pike, trout, bass and perch.
SLEDDING
The sledding hill at Adam Lake provides countless hours of fun and laughter. There is a fire pit and warm up shelter, as well as lighting for some late night fun.
HOCKEY
The winter recreation area at Adam Lake has a great full size hockey rink. It has two cozy warm-up shelters and outdoor firepit too. It’s lit at night for hours of fun!
